Lenoir Community College (LCC) is rich in history and is one of the oldest institutions in the North Carolina Community College System, serving more than 14,000 adults, in its service area of Lenoir, Jones, and Greene Counties. LCC is fully accredited and offers more than 45 associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates as well as multiple short-term training opportunities preparing students to continue their education or to go directly to work through online and traditional learning options. From aviation to welding and everything in-between, LCC offers programs in Business, Healthcare and Nursing, Public Safety, Commercial Services and Education, University Transfer and Fine Arts, Engineering and Manufacturing, Transportation and Aviation,  and Workforce Development and Continuing Education. Through Workforce Development and Continuing Education, the College offers programs that include customized workforce training, small business support, public safety programs, basic skills training such as English as a Second Language and high school equivalency preparation, as well as courses for personal enrichment. The College’s Latino Education Center located on the Kinston campus provides short-term training in Spanish in several areas of study. LCC also serves high school students through Lenoir County Early College located on the Kinston campus in partnership with the Lenoir County Public Schools and through Greene Early College located on the Greene County Center campus in partnership with the Greene County Public Schools.
