Jones, includes training in both hardware and software with emphasis on computer systems concepts to provide the student with a well-rounded view of how computer related equipment works together.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Droid Sans'\">Employment may be found in Electronics, Digital Electronics, Computers, Computer Upgrade\/Repair, Computer Networking, Routers and Switches, Industrial Controls, Programmable Logic Controllers, Microprocessors, Microcontrollers, sales, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-109\" src=\"http:\/\/lenoircc.mycareerfocus.org\/fall-2019-volume-1-issue-1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/06\/DSC_7557C.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"379\" height=\"568\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lenoircc.mycareerfocus.org\/fall-2019-volume-1-issue-1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/06\/DSC_7557C.jpg 533w, https:\/\/lenoircc.mycareerfocus.org\/fall-2019-volume-1-issue-1\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2019\/06\/DSC_7557C-200x300.jpg 200w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 379px) 100vw, 379px\" \/><span style=\"font-family: 'Droid Sans'\">The <span style=\"font-family: 'Droid Sans Bold'\">Computer-Integrated Machining Program\u00a0<\/span>prepares students with analytical, creative, and innovative skills necessary to take a production idea from an initial concept through design, development, and production, resulting in a finished product. This program, led by Program Chair Andrew Luppino, includes training in manual machining, computer applications, engineering design, computer-aided drafting (CAD), computer-aided machining (CAM), blueprint interpretation, advanced computerized numeric control (CNC) equipment, basic and advanced machining operations, precision measurement and high-speed multi-axis machining.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Droid Sans'\">Graduates should find employment as machining technicians in high-tech manufacturing such as rapid prototyping and rapid-manufacturing industries, specialty machine shops, fabrication industries, and high-tech emerging industries such as aerospace, aviation, medical, and renewable energy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Droid Sans Bold'\">Industrial Systems Technology<\/span> <span style=\"font-family: 'Droid Sans'\">teaches students how to safely service, maintain, repair, or install equipment. The program, led by Program Chair Stephen Edwards, provides instruction in theory and skill training needed for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing industrial systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Droid Sans'\">Graduates should find employment as industrial maintenance technicians, maintenance mechanics, and field service technicians. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: 'Droid Sans Bold'\">Mechanical Engineering Technology<\/span><strong style=\"font-size: 16px\">\u00a0<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: 'Droid Sans'\">focuses on training students to use basic engineering principles and technical skills to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot projects involving mechanical systems.
